About AliBat

Engineered for the New Zealand Building Code

AliBat aluminium cavity battens are developed to meet the rigorous standards of the New Zealand building industry. Manufactured from thick-wall extruded aluminium, they're non-combustible and compliant for use on buildings over 10 metres high.

Because the extruded profile performs as a structural element, AliBat can in some cases reduce the nogging required in a building's framing. It's lightweight, exceptionally straight, and supplied in pre-drilled 5.8m lengths to cut waste and labour — the superior cavity batten, whatever your build needs.

Non-combustible above 10m

Used with Nu Wall cladding, AliBat forms a non-combustible exterior. Unlike timber and plastic battens, aluminium won't degrade under sunlight, water or humidity.

Structural performance

Thick-walled aluminium holds screws far better than thin light-gauge steel in high wind, and is strong enough to cantilever over seismic or expansion joints.

Mid-rise ready

Lightweight, low maintenance, very long life, and a great range of colours and profiles. 5.8m lengths mean rapid construction and dead-straight walls.
